Last week was full of changes and excitement. In a region that does not get any snow, we sure got hit. It was a great sight to see the white, flurry snow we all missed from home. The snow closed down the shops and markets. The snow storm made our lives more difficult. The House of Hope children did not have school and so we had to take care of the children all day. God tested our patience level. The guest house was busy with guests and preparing meals. I was sick during the snow days so I felt very overwhelmed. God really helped me to learn how to depend on my team for help. Although we all felt overwhelmed, we were able to come together as a team and work through the problems we encountered.
Since the snow storm, the weather has been beautiful. We have had a lot of sunny days. The weather has changed to clear skies and t-shirt weather. The team has gotten back into their normal schedules with no snow storms to destroy them. The week has passed by with a few heartaches, but we have been able to work together as a team to deal with the issues that have come up. It has been a good week to work through some things, even through it has not always been easy. The verse that has helped me get through the week was: "Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through Jesus Christ our Lord". God is good and I am trusting in him.
